The Friends of the Fieseler Storch at the Nostaglic Flight Day in Meiringen


The weather played its part, too, on 13 May: Despite the thunderstorms during the weekend over Switzerland and some low clouds in the morning, weather on Saturday was flyable in Bernese Hasli valley.

Although we were only present with one aircraft – the A-99 – our Stork was of course a magnet for the visitors, together with our beautiful neighbour, the marvelous DC-3 from Grenchen.1500 visitors came to see the spectacle, many of them onboard their own aircraft whcih were lied up along the taxiway.

Unexpectedly often comes


Despite our giant efforts to make our both Argus powered Storks A-97 and A-98 not only fly, but also legally airworthy to get them to the Nostalgy Airshow in Meiringen in time, this will not happen.

Landing of A-97 Fieseler „Stork“ on the Gauli Glacier postponed


„Things always seem to happen when you least expect them“ and „Safety first“. Why those proverbs in coherence with aviation?

When we retrieved the A-97 from the Museum of Transport in Lucerne on 19 November last year to make her airworthy again, our objective was: We want to land on the very day of the 70 year anniversary on top of the Gauli glacier in order to draw attention to this major achievement in aviation history.

From the Museum of Transport into the skies: A-97 flies again!


In the course of the last weekend our A-97 finally took off for ist second maiden flight.

With best meteorological flight conditions prevailing, our Stork departed on 4 November 13:30 hours and flew – impeccably, flawlessly and dependably. Commanded by Krzystof Galus from the Polish Civial Aviation Authority ULC in Warsaw and accompanied by Jerzy Piekarz, a very expierienced flight test pilot from our shop Aero-Kros.

75 Years Meiringen Air Force Base with the Friends of the Fieseler Storch


On 17 and 18 June Meiringen Air Force Base in Unterbach celebrates ist 75th birthday. First base commander was Captain Viktor Hug, who landed with his Stork on the Gauli Glacier surface in 1946.
