Winter break is over
In aviation, winter ist he time when everything comes to a halt. Opportunities to fly are rare und this is when you do paperwork and maintenance. But since end of March the Storks are active again:
Our Number 1, A-99/HB-EJJ is now now equipped with retractable skis an on 30 March Thomas Rösti and Marc Gander made the first landing on a glacier. Kanderfirn is one out of more than 40 mountain landing sites in Switzerland.
After Thomas and Marc, also Patrick Balmer was able to conduct his glacier landing training on A-99/HB-EJJ by end of April. Alltogether, Patrick was able to logg 13 landings on Hüfifirn and Glärnisch in the Glarner Alps. „I look forward towards the landings on the Gauli in a very postive manner and do not expect particular problems", says the business pilot confidently. „If weather permits, this is going to be a great thing!“
